  I'm always astounded at the price of produce at the valu mart. I expect it to be less pricey than zehrs, but actually find it to be higher.

  Very expensive and the clearance items like produce should not even be for sale. Most of the items in the 50% off shelf are rotting and disgusting at best. I only go in to check a lotto ticket or if we are desperate for something small like eggs or bread.
  To continue, I was at a check out recently and noticed a cashier getting reprimanded from the store owner very loudly. We as customers heard the whole thing! This poor employee was in tears and white as a sheet. The way he was talking to the girl was very rude, and should've been taken somewhere private. Everyone in the store could hear them, and the poor cashier had no choice but to take it. Very unprofessional!
  On other occasions I have approached the owner down an aisle for assistance and he does NOT smile or make you feel welcome and pretty much points where to go. He is not a nice guy. I worked at zehrs as a teenager and my store owner made everyone feel welcome and at home like all owners should. Our city has countless stores to shop in, he needs to smarten up and make his employees and customers feel welcome.
  In conclusion, after today's unfortunate episode, I will NOT be returning.

  They offer fresh produce with a deli section while still having most of the pc products and other products you find most places. The prices can get a little on the up side sometimes but considering there are NO other supermarkets near me this is a great place to go. The cashiers are super friendly and they even bag your groceries. This places is clean and well organized!
