  It saddens me to give this restaurant lower than 5 stars because it used to be one of my favourites. Our last visit was disappointing. For one, the chocolate fountain is gone! Hopefully that is just temporary. The food ran out quickly and took a long time to get replenished. The quality of the food wasn't as good as it used to be either. Seemed like it wasn't as fresh. There weren't any cups and spoons at the ice cream station. If you do want to visit, weekday meal pricing is less expensive than on weekends. The VIP card will save you some money if you intend to visit multiple times throughout the year.

  It's mediocre. The serving staff are pleasant, and I do like the large, more private doors on the bathroom stalls as well. The food is okay, sometimes bland, and selection isn't always the best. There are sometimes a few really good items, but it's hit and miss. It's cheaper and easier to get to than the Mandarin, but if you have the time and little extra money, you're better off eating there.

  I have tried Kings Buffet a few times over the last few years and it has never really worked out for me. I gave it another go recently and had pretty much the same experience. I don't know what the real issue is – whether the food just doesn't get consumed quickly enough and stays on the heating plates too long, whether the heating plates are too hot, or whether it is prepared very differently than other buffets – not sure. I just don't like their food.

  While we have enjoyed King's Buffet in the past, our most recent trip solidified that we are likely not to return.
  
  Service for ordering drinks and clearing plates was very slow. While there is some variety for hot food (my vegetarian girlfriend had no problem finding choices), most of it lacked flavour and was very oily. Behind one of the hot food stations (pancakes & eggs) I noticed an employee's pizza take out half eaten while he was preparing food for the buffet. No thank you.
  
  Dessert options were disappointing and very obviously store-bought. I also spent 10 minutes looking for a dessert spoon and required assistance from four employees in order to find one.

  Worst experience ever in an all you can eat buffet. The food was mediocre but and the service was even worse. There was a lineup at the dessert stand, when I talked with the manager he simply said there is nothing he can do to help with that and walked away. The waiter was rude and unpleasant, she never filled up the water without my request and brought the bill to my table half way through the meal and removed all the utensils before we finished. Do not recommend this location.
